Bow Obama-Abdullah-style to the new Torch leaders

by Katherine Miller on April 4, 2009

I keep forgetting the most important information you didn’t already know: We’ve gone and elected the new leadership for the 2009-2010 Torch staff. I know, right? Hilarious Frannie Boyle will be taking over as editor in chief, and freshmen Phil Carroll and Martha Hellman will serve as associate editors. They will stun and amaze you with their awesomeness.

(Fun Torch Trivia: In my four years (the past three and next year), the Torch has had eight people serve as either editor in chief, associate editor, or in the case of four of us, both. Of those eight, six are Catholic, one is Episcopalian, and one is Lutheran. We are nothing if not liturgically focused people. Also, obviously, the superiority of the Lutheran faith is so concentrated in an undiluted formula of brilliance that the Torch can only handle one dose.)

Stuff to look forward to: one more fine issue of the Torch, a complete and sexy redesign of the main Torch website, and Mike blogging from Ireland next fall. Get fired up.
