Andrew Breitbart, the proprieter of Big Hollywood (UPDATE: They’ve got the video up there, too), Breitbart.com and one of my favorite conservative commentators, appeared on HBO’s Real Time w/Bill Maher last night, sitting on a “panel” with noted black liberal Michael Eric Dyson. Real Time’s audience is a lot like Jon Stewart’s; already on the host’s side and ready to pounce on anyone who disagrees.
Breitbart was outnumbered on his first appearance, but his appearance was top-notch. He wasn’t willing to let Maher or Dyson get away with anything. Watch in the first clip around 2:46, when Maher just cavalierly throws out that folks in Oklahoma are worried about “Obama’s Negro army.” Breitbart challenges him on this and the assertion that Rush Limbaugh is a racist pretty well, even as Maher dances from one issue to the next.
A lot of the same things about Stewart that Ace and Allah find ridiculous are on display here, except Breitbart’s got to defend himself on two fronts. Maher shows he can be somewhat generous the other side, but it’s only selectively and with no rhyme or reason. Video after the jump.
